Marina is 5 weeks old!

She now weighs 10 pounds, 1 ounce and is 22 inches long! She's smiling and making really cute sounds.

We can't believe a month has already passed. It's been an amazing journey so far. Marina is keeping us busy and awake at night, but it's not so bad! Sometimes she sleeps for 3-6 hour chunks at night, which we appreciate. We also appreciate all the support from all our friends and family over the last month. Thanks so much to all who've visited and cooked for us.

After 3 weeks at home, we ventured to Baker Beach to escape the heatwave in San Francisco. Marina slept in her sling the whole time, but we're sure she heard the waves.

Introducing Marina Carmen Lopez-Salazar...our Song of the Sea.

Our little miracle, Marina Carmen Lopez-Salazar, was born at home on Sunday April 5, 2009 (her actual due date) at 1:45pm. She weighed 8 pounds, 7.5 ounces at birth and measured 21 inches long. She had a long journey out of the womb, but is healthy and happy to be at home with mom and dad.

Nuestro pequeño milagro, Marina Carmen López-Salazar nació en la casa el 5 de abril a la 1:45 de la tarde. Pesó 3.8 kilos y midió 53.3 cm. Fue un largo viaje , pero ya llegó y está sanita y feliz junto a nosotros.
